Conference Overview:
InterGenerate is a conference for academics and practitioners to engage in dialogue about intergenerational ministry understandings and practices. Our program includes paper and workshop presentations addressing the following themes:

  • Why have churches promoted age-segregated approaches?

  • What are the spiritual benefits of intergenerational ministry?

  • What biblical and theological support exists for intergenerational ministry?

  • What research and learning theories support intergenerational approaches?

  • Why is it challenging for churches to become more intergenerational?

  • What does it look like to be more intentionally intergenerational in outlook and practice?

Paper Presentations:
Papers should offer empirical research or conceptual insights related to intergenerational Christian formation or ministry. Each presentation will be 35 minutes (20-25 minutes for the paper, 5-10 minutes for Q&A). We anticipate accepting 12-18 paper proposals for breakout sessions.
