Submission Deadline: December 10, 2024
Conference Overview:
InterGenerate is a conference for academics and practitioners to engage in dialogue about intergenerational ministry understandings and practices. Our program includes paper and workshop presentations addressing the following themes:
Why have churches promoted age-segregated approaches?
What are the spiritual benefits of intergenerational ministry?
What biblical and theological support exists for intergenerational ministry?
What research and learning theories support intergenerational approaches?
Why is it challenging for churches to become more intergenerational?
What does it look like to be more intentionally intergenerational in outlook and practice?
Paper Presentations:
Papers should offer empirical research or conceptual insights related to intergenerational Christian formation or ministry. Each presentation will be 35 minutes (20-25 minutes for the paper, 5-10 minutes for Q&A). We anticipate accepting 12-18 paper proposals for breakout sessions. At this point, we are planning for two papers to be presented in each 75-minute time slot.
